How to Get Recruited
Here's a great article on how to prepare to get recruited to wrestle in college. Preparation is everything. Enjoy the read! 1.) Know what you want 2.) Know what you're worth 3.) Put in the work (wrestle some big tournaments and work on contacting your favorite coaches) 4.) Do the little things right (like be respectful during campus visits, be a team leader, be a role model) https://www.pushpullwrestling.com/blog-1/how-to-get-recruited-for-wrestling

Losing is Important
UWW recently posted this picture of a wrestler after a heartbreaking loss. I think it's a beautiful pic of when things don't go your way on the mat. You'll always learn more from a loss than a win. This is a humbling sport. And that's why we coaches love it. No other sport has prepared me for the ups and downs of life the way wrestling has. You win some, you lose many. You grind on. Love the process more than the results.

No Excuses in November
Hello, Hammers!!!!! One of our favorite wrestlers, Bo Nickal, just created a YouTube page and uploaded a fun workout he and some friends did using logs and creating a workout / obstacle course. Hopefully this motivates you. Your heroes and role models are getting their work in and having fun doing it. Get creative. There will be no excuses next November when the tournament circuit starts. You either did the work or you didn't. You either want to crush your goals or you don't.

Get That Work
Greetings, Hammers. Wanted to give Ben Higgins a shout out for getting featured on the Chasing_those_dreams IG page. He's on there with kids around the world. I'm also attaching a few photos of wrestlers who have been doing the workouts and staying active. Make sure you're eating lots of protein and getting your workouts in. In the middle of the season is not when we focus on strength. It's right now in the offseason. So build a solid routine of 3-4 workouts per week. Consist

Happy Easter!!!
Happy Easter, Hammers!!!! It's an absolute pleasure to be a part of this team with so many hardworking athletes. Stay safe. And keep grinding!!!

It Takes a Village
Because we are huge fans of Sambo world champ, UFC champ, great wrestler, and great role model, Khabib Nurmagomedov, we encourage all our young athletes and families to watch this documentary on Khabib because it shows how much the international wrestlers and UFC fighters value family, community, and working together. Enjoy!!! https://youtu.be/dyz3FjfuTLY
